“It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
-George Eliot
Often times throughout our lives we are faced with the unexpected that has a tendency to derail our goals and our dreams. We think we are headed in one direction and just like that something throws us off course. The poet George Eliot reminds us that no matter how much time passes or how old we get, it is never too late for us to be what we might have been. We control our own narrative. Plain and simple. At any point we can make things happen for us. If we want to create a podcast we simply hit the record button on our phone and talk, then post it onto social media. If we want to write our first book, we write a page a day and before we know it, the book has been written.
Now it is important to remember that time is of the essence. Each day that we don’t strive towards what we hope to be, becomes just another wasted opportunity of discovering our true potential. Despite there being a song that says time is on our side, it really isn’t. It’s important to have some sort of a plan, something that will hold us accountable and stay on the path we were destined for. If there isn’t one, then more than likely it will not come to fruition.
Never let it be you that prevents you from becoming who you hope to be. Your time is now. Make it happen.
