“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: It goes on.”
-Robert Frost
As we all know and have experienced, life unexpectedly has its ups and downs. Sometimes the ups outweigh the downs and other times it is the other way around. As American poet Robert Frost once said what he learned about about life was that it does goes on. This reminded me of the song “Life Goes On” by The Beatles and that is something we need to recognize. Everything we have experienced has been our own, unique journey. No matter what is going on in our lives, the show (aka life) goes on. As much as we may want father time to slow down, it won’t. In a blink of any eye our once small children become adults leaving us to wonder where did the time go. It seems like only yesterday I was just starting out in my career as an educator and now I am a seasoned veteran.
By no means is this meant to be a time to be sad but a time to reflect and recognize that we must make every moment count. Our journey continues whether we are ready for it or not. Embracing everything life has to offer is what matters and serves as one of the greatest lessons we could ever hope to learn. Never forget to realize that and make the most of it.
