Becoming The Change: Just The Way They Are

“Go and love someone exactly as they are. And then watch how quickly they transform into the greatest, truest version of themselves. When one feels seen and appreciated in their own essence, one is instantly empowered.”

― Wes Angelozzi, Writer

Let’s face it. With all of the craziness that is going on in the world right now, society is need of a huge pick me up. I can think of nothing better than to remind each one of us that the best way to do this is to love others just as they are. More importantly we must express it to them by telling them just that. When I think of this, my mind goes straight to Billy Joel’s and Bruno Mars’ songs Just The Way You Are. Although each song is different in the reasons as to why they love that person just the way they are, both celebrate one thing: how special a certain someone is to them. When we take the time and intentionally lift someone else up be telling them how wonderful they are for being themselves, it can do wonders for their soul and for yours.

As expressed in today’s quote by writer Wes Angelozzi this level of acceptance opens the floodgates for the person that receives such a beautiful compliment to embrace their own uniqueness. They are recognized for how truly special they are. The beauty behind it all is your lovely sentiments allow them to love the most important person of all: themselves. There is no greater love. When someone is told essentially how beautifully they are both inside and out it gives a sense of appreciation to them because they ultimately feel seen. Nothing is better than being seen by others. It is a feeling like no other and once you gain that level of confidence, you never want to let that feeling go. It shows that they matter. Everyone does.
