“Find out what it is that you have to give the world and then give it with your heart, soul, mind, and strength.”
-The Daily Coach
One of the greatest challenges we will ever face is to discover or find what our true calling is; our purpose; to answer the question why were we put here on this earth. Some struggle with this for years, decades even and some unfortunately never do find it. I look at our purpose and/or calling is something that is truly a gift that we in essence can give back to others or in the case of today’s quote a gift that we give back to the world. I wholeheartedly believe that when you do discover it, it will unlock the four entities that truly embody that “all in” philosophy: heart, soul, mind and strength.
The journey towards achieving each of those depends on our own moral compass. It is what guides us in every which way from knowing ourselves, controlling our thoughts and actions, building and sustaining healthy relationships, looking at things through someone else’s eyes or experiences and deciding what is best for a better tomorrow.
For me, my calling and/or purpose has been and always will be education and the opportunity to impact the lives of others in all that I do. There is no greater gift than to give back to something that has given me so much. Everything I have done and will continue to do in this field will forever be with my whole heart, soul, mind and strength. The strength is not for me as much but rather the strength for others when they need it most. I want to serve, lead and inspire others to become their best selves in the hopes that they pay it forward to others. That to me is a life well lived.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards defining/refining your own moral compass?
