“A man is but the product of his thought. What he thinks, he becomes.”
A mind is a terrible things to waste. I’m sure you have heard this before and it is a statement that continues to hold the test of time. We only go through this life once and need to make the most of it. Our mind is our most valuable asset and how we use it can become a powerful force for doing good in the world. Today’s quote by Mahatma Gandhi reminds us that we are who we think we are. And with that, what we think we become.
How we perceive ourselves is what drives us in all that we do. It also can prevent us from becoming what we are destined to be if we fill our thoughts with negativity all of the time as well. I have always told my students my philosophy that “If its to be, its up to me.” Anything they want in life it is up to them to make it happen. No one is coming to them with their hopes and dreams on a silver platter saying, “Here you go!” They have to go out there and just do it.
For me I thought about being an educator so I became one. I thought about writing a blog and producing a podcast and I did it. And lastly I wanted to write a book which I was able to complete. Remember anything you put your mind to you can do. So what is it you want to become?
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards improving your self awareness?
