Typically every generation feels like the next generation acts as though the world owes them something. I know I would hear that all the time from the previous generation and I definitely know I’ve said it to my own daughter’s generation before just based on their actions. But like every new generation is told is that the world owes us nothing and it is up to us to go out there and get what it is that we want out of light.
Author and humorist Robert J. Burdette’s quote reemphasizes this because we know that we as a human race came after this world was created. We are on its timeline and we are on its turf so to speak. We are actually the ones that owe the world something. I believe we are all on borrowed time to have whatever impact we’d like to have here on Earth and on others around us. Once we realize this we will stop waiting for something to come happen to us and go out there and make it happen ourselves.
