Our Moral Compass: Let’s Do Our Part And Put Some Good Into The World

“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”

-Archbishop Desmond Tutu

South African Anglican cleric and theologian, Archbishop Desmond Tutu who is known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist spoke about in today’s quote how if we each do our part and put a little bit good into the world, together we can overwhelm the world. Now we all know that are world is constantly overwhelmed but is it with positive things that promote happiness, laughter and joy? I’m sure not as much as we’d like. It unfortunately is filled with uncertainty, stress, worry, anger and sadness far too often.

To put a little good into the world is something, that if we take the time and effort, can change the world for the better. It can be just simple things such as helping your neighbor, saying a kind word to someone at work you normally wouldn’t talk to and doing other random acts of kindness. Remember…kindness is free. If we all did our part and put more good into the world our future as a society we would be better for it and we would have achieved it together.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards becoming more socially aware?
