“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
-Margaret Mead
American cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead believed that it is through community that change could indeed happen in the world. Commitment is one of the biggest things that is needed if change is to occur. Commitment to the cause, commitment to one another and the commitment of persevering even when things may seem to look bleak at the moment. Faith in the people you are surrounded by, a family like atmosphere portrayed in all that is done for the greater good are things that when a community bands together, it formulates a bond that can never be broken.
When we continue to put the needs of others before our own and are always mindful and thoughtful to their feelings, the power and impact we can collectively have which in turn brings forth change is immeasurable. Let us choose to become the change we wish to see in the world.
