Don’t Be A Complainer But Rather A Doer

“We should all do something to right the wrongs that we see and not just complain about them.”

-Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Are there times in your life that when you are faced with a task to complete that you spend more time complaining about having to do it than actually just doing it? I know that it has happened to me too many times to count unfortunately. Now did I eventually complete the task and did it turn out ok? For the most part yes but it had a lot of unnecessary complaining that went into it though. The question I am always asking myself is why do I go through these sort of charades and antics instead of just getting it done in the first place? It is still a question I have yet to find an answer for. I wind up wasting so much time which doesn’t benefit me or what needs to be done at all. Now this does not mean I’m trying to right something that is wrong all the time like Former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is referring to in today’s quote, but it aligns with what she is saying for the most part.

Let’s face it. As of late, there are a many wrongs out there in the world that need to be made right. We do so much talking about them and how it will take all of us to make things better again. Will it take time and effort? Yes. Will it all turn out for the better? We can only hope so but we realize sometimes it may not. Some things that we try to improve may not happen the way we may have wanted it to. The thing is this. We can either continue to complain about it or do something about it. It is time for us do stand united and do something in order to save our country’s own moral compass before it is too late. Actions speak louder than words so lets do something about it to better our lives and the world we live in.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards becoming more socially aware and make better decisions?
