Former Roman emperor and known for his Stoic type philosophy Marcus Aurelius was very wise and today’s quote by him is no different. Although he only refers to what a good man should be this can truly be and should be for a woman as well. There shouldn’t be any debate of us becoming and being our best selves. In essence being good as he makes reference too. The thing is this. We know what it takes to be good or in other words we are very self aware of what we should do. It is to be complimentary of others and also yourself. It is to let go of anger and let peace overwhelm you instead. Be helpful to those in need. Be honest with others. Practice forgiveness. These are just some ways to be good as there are many more that are out there. As Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Do that and let the good from within overflow.
