“The most wasted days is one without laughter.”
-E.E. Cummings
When you really think about it are some of the days that have occurred in your life been more a less a waste in that they were not really that productive or in some capacity just sort of blah? I know I have had my fair share. As American poet E.E. Cummings points out in today’s quote those wasted days are usually chalked up to days where we had no laughter occur. I, myself, wasn’t so sure until I actually sat down and thought back to those days that really were rather boring and hardly memorable in my life. There was no or hardly laughter going on. Now what I remembered was the days in which I was intentional about making sure to either make someone else laugh with a dumb Dad joke or even just listening to a funny podcast or watching a show, my whole world just lit up, not just me.
Laughter is the type of medicine we all need that makes life better. It’s just that simple and is needed now more than ever. Make sure to add some laughter into your daily repertoire to avoid those wasted days and make them more meaningful.
