Becoming The Change: Find The Good

“Find the good. It’s all around you. Find it. Showcase it, and you’ll start believing in it.”

-Jesse Owens

There are some quotes that withstand the test of time and mean as much back than as they do now. American Track and Field athlete Jesse Owens of 1936 Olympics fame encourages us to find the good and essentially share it with the world. Make it known to others. Celebrate it and allow it to encourage and serve as a driving factor for others to find that same good where they are at with the hope they also pay it forward.

There is so much negativity in the world and too much of it if you ask me. Whether it is social media or the news itself more often than not it is on worldwide shortages, raising prices, political strife, etc. Once in a while they my sprinkle in a feel good story but in my opinion it is not enough and it really has the audience looking for the bad instead of looking for the good. It is up to us to change this narrative.

I’d love to potentially create a Serve, Lead and Inspire magazine that focuses on all of the good that is out there in education, business, whatever. We need to stop and recognize all of the beautiful, kind and caring groups of people or individuals. It is possible to find the good if we look hard enough. So why not start today?

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards becoming more socially aware?
