Becoming The Change: The Relationships We Build With Kids

“The most powerful tool we have for influencing behavior is the relationship we build with kids.”

-Casey O’Roarty

The amount of positive influence we can have on a child is priceless. But how often to do we reflect on this and is it enough? In education we do this or should be doing this all of the time. Everything we do should be on building a solid relationship with them. It is something that as Casey O’Roarty states in today’s quote the most powerful tool we have in influencing kids.

We need to remember that they are our future and we as a society need to take care of them always. As adults we are looked upon as being more or less role models for kids to look up to. There is no greater impact we can have on the life of a child than this. Relationships are built from within and it’s up to us to foster them in the hopes they when they become adults, they will also pay it forward for the next generation.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
