“Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”
-Julia Child
One of life’s greatest challenges is defining one’s purpose and/or what they are passionate about. Depending on the person this can be someting that takes very little or a very long time. There are times that even our passion or purpose changes over time. I think that depends on where we are all at during certain points in our lives. Whatever the case may be, we need to ensure that once we find what it is that we are looking for, to latch onto it and find out all that there is on how take things to the next level to better our lives and the live sof others. I think that is what today’s quote by American Cook Julia Child means.
When we show interest in something, something that we want to pursue, we must do our part to maintain that interest. This can be through research, reading books/articles, following and participating in organizations that also have those same similar interests and/or passions. It should never feel like work and something that becomes cumbersome and turns into soemthing that you dread doing. I’ve seen that happen all too often. Don’t get me wrong. Our passion/purpose can sometimes be tested on daily basis with certain things that occur beyond our own control However, if we remember our why and what the end goal is, the process aka journey will become much more worthwhile. Besides….who doesn’t want to see all of the possibilities out there to making your dreams and passions come true?
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards improving your self awareness?
