“Confidence comes not from always being right, but from not fearing to be wrong.”
-Peter McIntyre
I remember one of the skating slogans growing up was “No Fear.” When Tony Hawk would pull of an ollie or a 900 which is unheard of, he was the epitimy of no fear And that 900, only happened after falling 9 times before. In life we have this fear of being wrong. This happens in isolation or when around others in a group. For whatever reason, we have this need to always be right and that when we are right about something, it breeds confidence. However as Peter McIntyre reminds us in today’s quoteconfidence does not come from always being right, but rather having no fear of being wrong. Let’s try and recognize when we are trying to be perfect and be right all of the time. Be like Tony Hawk and showing no fear in being wrong. Because that is where being trually confident lies.
