What Is Meant To Be Will Not Pass Us By

“What is meant for me is not going to miss me.”

-Patrice Gordon

Throughout our lives there are opportunities that we think are meant for us but unfortunately do not come to fruition. It doesn’t mean we should give up as the next opportunity that comes along may be the one that was especially meant for us. This is the focus of Executive Coach and Personal Development Advocate Patrice Gordon’s quote for today: “What is meant for me is not going to miss me.” As long as we live our lives to the fullest and leave no stone unturned as the saying goes what we are destined for will happen. By no means is this some sort of pollyanna approach but one that comes down to living with a growth mindset and one that relies on a healthy balance of self awareness, self management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making.

We must be always aware of our thoughts, feelings and emotions while maintaining control over them in various situations. We need to recognize and look through the eyes of others to gain a better perspective of what their wants and needs are. This will ultimately enhance our relationship skills with them leading towards us becoming better at making responsible decisions while using a balance between our head and hearts in making those equitable decisions.

We do not know what is meant for us in the long run but I can assure you that if we do nothing and do not grow into who we can become we will never find out. Let your own moral compass be that guide for you.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards defining/refining your own moral compass?
