Becoming The Change Podcast (Episode 718): Only You Can Make The Change

Welcome to the Becoming The Change Podcast. Thank you for listening and we hope you consider subscribing to the podcast for future episodes.

Only You Can Make The Change

“If you don’t like how things are, change. You are not a tree.”

-Jim Rohn

In Michael Jackson’s song Man In the Mirror he sings “If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change.” Everything we ever want in life is within our control. In today’s quote by author and speaker Jim Rohn he reminds us that only we can change things if we don’t like how things currently are. He even goes on to say that we are not a tree which is a good non comparison to make. Although a tree can grow leaves and they do change in the Fall and eventually fall off, it is the weather and the outside environment causes that to happen; not necessarily by the tree itself. We, however, control our own fate, our own destiny. Outside factors may force our hand at times but ultimately it is our choosing to make that change that determines the true outcome of our fate. We can only control what we can control and that of course is ourselves. Change your mindset, change your life.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards managing yourself better?
