Our Moral Compass: What Does The Word Fear Mean To You?

“F-E-A-R has two meanings: ‘Forget Everything And Run’ or Face Everything And Rise.’ The choice is yours.”

-Zig Ziglar

Often times when we hear or think of the word fear I am sure that most of us think of the forget everything and run meaning for fear as opposed to the other one that speaker and author Zig Ziglar mentions in today’s quote. This is where we need to make sure that we flip that script. Why? Because that forget everything and run analogy has never and will never bring forth change to any situation ever. When we face everything and rise we develop the courage in ourselves and those around us to tackle any problem head on that comes our way. Life will always be full of challenges and they cannot be avoided forever. We are more powerful than we give ourselves credit for. We need to keep in mind that there are others who are watching us and seeing what we decide to do when these difficult situations arise. This includes but is not limited to our co workers, supervisors, friends and family. Remember if we don’t stand for something we will fall for everything. So my advice is to make the decision to face everything and rise.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
