Have People Imitate This
“Do something wonderful; people may imitate it.”-
It is through our moral compass where our values and who we are destined to come together. I believe we were all born with a purpose and it is ultimately our decisions that have the potential to significantly impact others. So with great power comes great responsibility right? You may be wondering what is our responsibility is in life? Theologian Albert Schweitzer believed that if we set out to do something wonderful, people may try and do the same thing. In essence they would pay it forward.
In doing something wonderful it doesn’t have to be anything out of the ordinary. It can be as simple as paying for the person behind you at Dunkin Dounts. They may in turn to the same for the person behind them and so on. Or perhaps you take the time to volunteer at a homeless shelter and bring your children along to learn from the experience. This could have a significant impact on them in wanting to do something similar in the near future. Whatever it is, if we allow our moral compass to guide us, I believe it will bring forth many opportunities to do wonderful things in the hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards defining/refining your own moral compass?
