Our Moral Compass: The Truth of Our Character

“The truth of your character is expressed through the choice of your actions.”

-Steve Maraboli

In today’s quote American writer Steve Maraboli reminds us that our character is in essence and/or should be our truth as to who we are. We embody this based on our actions and how we conduct ourselves each and every day. We are all responsible for the decisions we make. No one is holding our hand to a flame. It is important that we recognize that we all have choices to make and we must take the time to consciously make the best decision possible and realize that it is not for personal gain. It is for the collective gain of all who are involved.

Character is our moral qualities that make us unique individuals. It is our true make up that goes deep beneath the source. It is our soul and purpose for being. It is something that should guide us and we need to be mindful of this and reflect upon it after each experience in order for us to continuously grow as individuals.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
