Our Moral Compass: Friends Are Family

“Friends are the family you choose.”

-Jess C. Scott

When you reflect on the friends that you have had over your lifetime, were they more like family? For me that was the case. Author Jess C. Scott reminds us in today’s quote that they are the family that we choose. Over time they do become more like family. Friends have a sense of loyalty, selflessness, love and genuine care and concern for the others. These are the qualities we look for in our friends. It is important to note that they are the ones that will be there for you in your time of need too. And you should do the same. Having friends like this could be the best decision you could ever make.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
