The Greatest Empire

When you think of the word empire what words come to mind? Power. Dominance. The Roman Empire. The Empire in the fictional story and movies Star Wars. In basic terms it is a political construct in which one state dominates over another state, or a series of states. In today’s quote Former Prime Minister of England Winston Churchill uses the word empire in saying that the empires of the future are the empires of the mind.
Everything that we hope and dream is within our control and it all starts with the self management of our own mind. We regulate it all. Our emotions, our thoughts and our behaviors are all controlled and occur through our different reactions to different situations that arise. As the saying goes “Rome wasn’t built in a day” and neither is our mind. Our empire truly is a state of mind.
We are continually learning and growing our mind and in particular our mindset. This occurs not only through acquiring knowledge through books, articles or podcast but also through our experiences. And in my opinion we need to always have a balance of both in order to continually develop our self management skills. So take the time and put forth the effort to make that empire that rests in between your ears one that will best make your own empire of the future a successful and promising one.
