Our Moral Compass: Be Yourself

“People would rather follow a leader who is always real than who is always right.”

-Craig Groeschel

Authenticity is a word that is not used lightly when talking about leadership or about anyone for that matter. When a leader or anyone for that matter is authentic what you see is what you get. They are in fact real. In today’s quote Pastor Craig Groeschel points out that people are more likely to follow someone who is always real than who is always right. As hard as it is to accept, no one wants to follow a know it all because when you have someone like this, you are following someone who is unfortunately very arrogant. That is a trait you do not want to inherit because it will lead you down a path where in the end no one who will follow you. I can guarantee that.

Those that are real embody morals and values that make up their moral compass and this above all else are people worth following and learning from. Strive to be authentic. Be you.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards defining/refining your own moral compass?
