Our Moral Compass: Two Important Takeaways from Life’s Experiences

“There are only two things that will be with you for the rest of your life from this experience: 1) Who you become 2) Who you impact.”

-Cori Close

Life as we know it, happens through the experiences we encounter each and everyday. They can certainly play a significant role for the rest of our lives. As UCLA Women’s Head Basketball Coach Cori Close says in today’s quote that who we become and who we impact are two key features of living in my opinion a full life. What we become is still be defined and will be until we breathe our last breath. And I think it will depend on who we impact that will really determine who we will become.

Whatever the case may be it is all within our own control. Our actions define us and in some ways can refine us too. It is when we define our core values and beliefs, while sticking to who we are deep down inside that we will truly reveal our authentic selves. We must allow ourselves to grow, evolve and change and make sure to not put any limits on what is possible or do anything that prevents us from reaching our highest potential. Our purpose should be to have a positive impact on others day in and day out. If we give more, help others, and create more love to go around I think the impact we can potentially have on others would be truly limitless.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards managing yourself better?
