Our Moral Compass: Be Authentic With Others Through Your Compliments

“Give out authentic compliments to people. Compliment them on WHO they are, not just WHAT they’ve accomplished.”

-Jesse Itzler

Authenticity. It is a word we often hear but is rarely heard enough to be a part of our everyday vocabulary. It is my hope however that this will change soon because in my opinion we need more authentic people in this world. Ones that are real and truthful that want to bring good back in to the world and more importantly share love towards one another. In today’s quote American entrepreneur, author and speaker Jesse Itzler mentions that when we give authentic compliments that need to be about who they are as a person. This is in itself what is missing from the equation in regards to sustaining a positive and promising relationship or connection with someone else. We more often than not focus on the accomplishment itself and not really the character of the person.

Compliments can be a dime a dozen and can be geared towards positivity, intelligence, creativity or resourcefulness. But for today’s focus it will be on ways in which we compliment others for who they are. When we intentionally do this we build their self confidence and also strengthen their relationship with the, The key is to be specific as to what you are complimenting them about.
