“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”
-Coretta Scott King
United we stand, divided we fall. Yet, for whatever reason there are some that would rather stay divided. American author, activist, civil rights leader Coretta Scott King reminds us in today’s quote that we have the potential to be a community of greatness when we are compassionate towards one another and further do so based on our actions. We need to remember that when we serve others it also fills our emotional becket as well. We strengthen not only ourselves but our relationships with others too.
This is a time that we must continue to work together for the greater good because it is needed now more than ever. We are the role models for our children and their future children. When we show others acts of kindness it pays tenfold. Doing good deeds. Being there for one another. Helping one another. That is what compassion is all about.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
