“When you help others you not only ease their suffering but also your own.”
-Lt. Col. Waldo Waldman
Leadership keynote speaker, executive coach, and author of the New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Never Fly Solo Lt Col Waldo Waldman reminds us in today’s quote the importance of helping others. His main message is that when we help others we not only ease their suffering but our own as well. We all have struggles, certain trials and tribulations that we have had or will have.
Often times it is in these difficulties that we discover that those that are friends or even family more often than not may be going through similar things that we are. When we give more of ourselves to others we have the tendency to get more, twofold in fact. Healing others emotional wounds somehow heals ours too. Let’s remember to reach out to others in their time of need because often it our time of need too without even realizing it.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
