Becoming The Change: The Hallmark Of A Decision

“The hallmark of a decision in line with one’s character is ease and contentment, and an ample, even provision of natural energy.”

-Anne Truitt

When we align our decisions with our own character it is here that all of our effortless energy flows towards making the best decision possible. In today’s quote by American sculptor Anne Truitt says at the hallmark of our decision making capabilities. Our character is what defines us in all that we do. It coincides with who we are and how we should conduct our day to day lives. When we are honest with ourselves we are honest with our making the best decision possible. Decisions shouldn’t be as complex as we make them out to be. We have the tendency to either overthink things or allow others to influence us when it really all comes down to whether the decision matches our own moral values. If it does then the decision should be rather easy. If it doesn’t then we know to choose the direction that doesn’t violate our principles. Decisions should be made with an open heart and open mind because without doing this, we could inadvertently cause unjust harm to ourselves or to others. It is not worth it if we do not know who we truly are or what we stand for and/or believe in.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
