“As human beings, we want to be remembered for the contribution we had in the lives of others.”
-Simon Sinek
One of the most important things to me has been and will always be to help others through my words and my actions. I want those that I serve, lead and inspire to know how special they are, the potential they have and all that they have to offer this world. As an educator, first as a teacher, then as an academic coach followed by an administrator it is my sincere hope that I have had a positive impact on students and my co workers that I have had the pleasure and honor to serve and work alongside for 25 years so far. They have made significant contributions in helping me become who I am today.
Simon Sinek’s quote for today reemphasizes the importance and the power that relationships can and should be with one another. We each should be contributing to the lives of others each and every day. I also hope that my blogs and podcast as well as my upcoming book contribute to the lives of others too as they will live on long after I am not longer here on this earth. Between this and what I have done in my career and as a person will live on through those lives I have touched. Just knowing this, makes my life complete.
