“It’s not the will to win that matters—everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters.”
-Paul “Bear” Bryant
One of the keys to being a success in business and in life is preparedness. Intentional planning leads to intentional outcomes. In today’s quote legendary football coach Paul “Bear” Bryant reminds us that we all have a will to do or be something but it is that will to prepare to win, in sports and ultimately in life. If we do not put in the necessary time or effort into making our dreams into a reality then it will never happen. This level is preparedness is for our physical and mental well being as well has for our roles as a husband, wife, friend, etc. This plan must be well thought out and there needs to be check points established along the way so in the event that you have to alter the plan you originally made you can do so accordingly.
Our decisions affect our today and our tomorrow. It all starts with our willingness to prepare. The question is are you ready to take that first step and put the time that is necessary to make it all happen? And are you prepared to win at the game of life?
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
