How To Avoid Making Mistakes
“The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything.”
No matter how hard we try, mistake are bound to happen and are unavoidable. President Theodore’s quote reminds us that if we never make a mistake it shows that we never did anything. And if that is a case then we have lived a life wasted. Mistakes are meant to be lessons learned from the experiences we encounter. We have the power within us to either play the game of life or sit on the sidelines and let the game go one without us. It is happening either way just as time is continually passing by. The only thing we can control is our decision of what to do about it. We are not perfect, nor will we ever be.
I believe we all can make difference in this world but this can only be done by deciding to be vulnerable. We must recognize that mistakes along the way are unavoidable. Our greatest mistake will be in fact to do nothing to enact change. Enact change for the world around us, enact change through our influence within our relationships and enact change most importantly within ourselves. Gandhi once said to be the change we wish you see in the world. And that change starts with us and our decision to do so.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
