“When we finally let go of what no longer serves us, what we’re holding, what we know, we make room to make new wisdom, new choices, new freedom.”
-Tamara Levitt
Now before you judge the title of this entry, the focus is not on the movie Frozen. It centers around Tamara Levitt’s quote encouraging us to let go of the things that no longer serve us for the greater good. If we are holding onto pain it only will bring us down. The same goes for anger, sadness, you name it. Often times we fall into the trap of playing things safe and sticking to what it is we know. Although this does provide some comfort in knowing what you know, is it really helping you grow as a person?
When we take the time to allow for new experiences to happen it brings forth new wisdom. This wisdom comes from the new choices we are making and in doing so gives us that necessary freedom that Levitt refers to. This all becomes possible just by making the decision to let it go. Let go of the past and embrace the unforeseeable future.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
