Becoming The Change: The Secrets Of Success

“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.”

-Colin Powell

We often search for what it takes to be considered a success in life. That secret formula. That certain something. According to Colin Powell and today’s quote there is no secret or special ingredient to breed success. It is the final product that lies before us that is only deemed possible due in part to our own preparation. It is that behind the scenes type of work that only you and you alone can determine how much time and effort goes into bringing your “A” game.

The hard work you go through shows the commitment, grit and perseverance that you take to new heights. But the most important piece to this puzzle is learning from our mistakes, learning from failure. Remember that failure doesn’t mean you yourself are one. It is the task at hand that didn’t work out. Thomas Edison had more failures than one could count but that did not stop him and don’t let it stop you either. You determine your own success based on what guides you in life in order to get there.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards defining/refining your own moral compass?
