“When people are financially invested, they want a return. When people are emotionally invested, they want to contribute.”
-Simon Sinek
Investments are meant to bring forth profitable gains over time. Often times we associate this with finances. However as Simon Sinek points out in today’s quote when someone is financially invested they are wanting that return. They are seeing gain something or their own benefit. It sounds very self serving and to be honest very selfish especially if the focus is on establishing and/or maintaining healthy relationships. Now when we emotionally invest in others, we no longer are concerned with what we get in return. We are invested in how we can help to contribute towards the well being of others. That feeling of contributing to the lives of others is second to none. Let’s make it a point to invest in others before ourselves.
