You Control Your Own Narrative
“Your mindset matters and your self talk changes everything.”
-Russell Wilson
We all have the capacity to control our own narrative and the write our own ending. As NFL quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson says it all has to do with our mindset and the self talk we do that truly is a game changer in life. It first comes down recognizing that we do in fact control the narrative, hence the story of our lives. If we don’t take the time to write it, somebody else might. We must believe we are capable in doing so because it is us that knows what we truly want out of life and can do what it takes to make it happen. It is then through action that our story is written. Not every chapter may go accordingly to plan but as long as we persevere, we can ensure that future chapters lead to the ending we truly desire. At the end of each chapter and/or phase of our life we can then so some self reflecting as to what went well, what didn’t and what changes we can make in order to change things for the great good. It is all within our own control.
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards managing yourself better?
