“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
Life is all about moments. Some good. Some bad. But it is the good ones that we hope our life is truly measured by. In today’s quote, I believe it is focused on the impact we can have on others. It is because of this that cause those moments to be as specialas they are. We can’t measure the number of breaths we take because those moments do not have the depth to have any impact whatsoever. In essence there are so many that they cannot be measured, nor will they necessarily be remembered.
What will be remembered are the moments that take our breath away: the births we will experience. The deaths. The celebrations and moments that will change the course of others’ lives as well as well as our own. Our moral compass and the 5 elements conissitently mentioned throughout these entries are what help to contribute to these moments that take our breath away. And they will continue so long as we are here living and breathing. Let’s focus on making as many special moments as possible.
