“We have to trust ourselves before we can ask others to trust us.”
-Simon Sinek
As we all know trust is something that is never given it is earned. But as Simon Sinek points out in today’s quote, we must trust ourselves before we can ask others to trust us. Our most important relationship is the one that we have with ourselves. It is that innate belief in ourselves that we are capable of doing most anything. That we can rely on ourselves to do the necessary self talk from time to time when we are faced with certain challenges or are in our own heads doubting what we can do. It is said that strength comes in numbers and I agree. However, strength comes from within ourselves and we need to trust ourselves that we do possess it. Why? Because we deserve it so do the people around us. We we belief in ourselves, others will believe in us too. This is what builds the bridge of trust between you and others. Remember trust takes a long time to build but is easily broken. It is something that can go a long way if it nurtured the way in which it should be. Don’t forget that.
