Becoming The Change: The Secret Towards Inspiring Others

“You don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfection.”

-Lewis Howes

There is a saying that we must dress to impress. However, I hope we know that there are so many things beyond what we wear that will impress others, let alone inspire. We try so hard for perfectionism, an unachievsable goal when we really think about it. And as Lewis Howes mentions in today’s quote we don’t need to be perfect to inspire others. At the end of the day, no one is really looking for that. It’s like trying to find a unicorn in the forest. It doesn’t exist.

Now what does exist are those qualities that make us imperfect. They are the things that make us, us. The goal as Lewis Howes points out is trying to inspire others on how we deal with our own imperfections. That takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable and admit to the things that we struggle with. This comes with time and being comfortable with yourself and who you are. You can’t inspire others unless you inspire yourself first. Our relationships skills that we want to develop with others starts with developing them within ourselves. Always remember that.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
