The Hardest Decision

“Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide.”

-Napoleon Bonaparte

Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. Our lives are full them. From the simplest of decisions to the most difficult. What’s even more frustrating are some days the decisions we made that were easy can be hard ones on others days. Case in point: Ever know exactly what you wanted to wear one day and then had no idea the other day? Or you know exactly what you want to order at your favorite restaurant one time and then have no idea what you to eat another time?  Sometimes the hardest decision we ever have to make is just that, a decision.

One of the most famous French statesmen and militant leaders was Napoleon Bonaporte during the 19th century. His quote today reminds us that making decisions can be difficult, that each one has a level of importance and is not something that should be made lightly. Decisions do not only impact us but can also affect those around us from people that we know to those we have and probably never will meet.

We need to make sure that when it comes to making decisions we are making them with a clear, conscious mind and with an open heart. It is important to look at things from multiple perspectives and weigh the impact that the decision may have on yourself an others. Life is precious and so are the decisions we make so let’s make them good ones.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your responsible decision making skills?
