Our Moral Compass: Truth Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

“Truth is incontrovertible. Panic may resent it, ignorance may deride it, malice may distort it, but there it is.”

-Winston Churchill

Truth is in the eye of the beholder. This is a saying that has been around for as long as I can remember. Truth is the facts behind anything we face in life. It is what it is whether we like it or not. As Former Primer Minster of England Winston Churchill once said truth is unchangeable not matter what other thoughts, feelings or emotions try to do to it. No matter how much fear or anxiety one may have and resent it, truth will continue to not waver. Disgust or anger can’t tarnish the truth either. Even the attempt to alter its appearance only serves as a surface level mirage to the truth that lies beneath.

We need to remember that sometimes the truth hurts but it is what it is. We cannot alter it, we don’t have that control. We can only control our actions in accepting it and what we do with that truth moving forward.
