How A Team’s True Potential Is Unlocked

“Wherever smart people work, doors are unlocked.”

-Steve Wozniak

American electronics engineer, programmer, philanthropist, and technology entrepreneur Steve “The Woz” Wozniak who co-founded Apple said that wherever smart people work, doors are unlocked. If that is the case then a lot of businesses and organizations are in good hands. Yes it can be attributed to their individual talents and what they contribute to the organization but I think it is the ability of them to all work together and work off of one another’s strengths that really unlocks to doors that Steve Wozniak means. Look at his pathway to his success. It was his partnership with Steve Jobs that led to Apple being established and as we know the rest is history. As the two of them collaborated (who were both very smart mind you) led to limitless opportunities and because of their efforts early on has made Apple one of the most successful companies in the 21st century.

Being smart doesn’t just mean pure intelligence. People are smart when they recognize not only their own strengths but their challenges as well. More importantly, they recognize those that in a sense offer them something that they may be lacking. They allow themselves to be vulnerable which is very hard to do. But again, that is smart because there is no way to achieve everything solely on our own. We need one another more that we realize. Through strong communication, teamwork and other relationship building efforts we can hep our companies or organizations reach new heights which is a smart move for future success.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
