How We Can Work Miracles

“We are one, and when we act as one we can work miracles.”

-Tim Shriver, The Call To Unite

We are stronger together than we are apart. I’m sure you have heard this whether it has been said at work or within your own home. Today’s quote from Chairman of Special Olympics and CEO of UNITE Tim Shriver reminds us that we are one and when we act as such we can work miracles. Miracles are surprising and welcoming events that are not explicable by natural or scientific laws. They are considered to be the work of a divine agency. There have been several instances in which these miracles have occurred just in our nation alone.

Examples of these were the passage of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote, the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950’s and 60’s which led to to passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, and later sexual orientation and gender identity and the Declaration of Independence in 1776 which declared our independence from British rule. There are many more and I am sure there will be more to come in our future.

These examples were all achieved by not just one individual but because of a group of individuals that came together as one. That is the beauty of relationships. Doing things together. Together achieving things that will better the lives of all now and in for future generations to come. Let’s do our part in working with one another for a better tomorrow. The next miracle is out there just waiting for us to make it happen.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
