What Our World Needs More Of

“The world needs less heat and more light.”

-Wilfred Peterson

Today’s quote by American author Wilfred Peterson is one that serves as a reminder that we need to love one another more than we ever have and in that also be there in their time of need. I believe the heat that he is referring to is that there is no need for violence; besides what truly has violent ways ever served us for the greater good? In my opinion it hasn’t at all and really keeps further away from the light. The light he refers to is that love I mentioned earlier. Love is such a powerful entity that it lives within each of us and, if we let it, will flow through us towards making this world what we all envision it to be: a place where we live together in perfect harmony. If we look for the joy in this life we will surely find it for it is within us all. We must remember that darkness is only temporary and that the light will shine through when we choose to live in a world of peace.

What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards becoming more socially aware?
