“Only the fool refuses to ask for help. It is the genius that takes advantage of the people around them.”
-Simon Sinek
When it comes to either playing the fool or becoming the genius which would you rather be? I think your answer would be a no brainer as I’m sure you’d rather be the genius. As Simon Sinek points out the fool is one who refuses to ask for help. And why do you think that is? Fear or being judged by others or by yourself? Being looked upon as being weak minded or having too much pride to seek help from others especially when you need it most? Well let me set the record straight: Who cares what other think? We all need help at one time or another. It is inevitable.
Now those that seek the help of others is actually a genius and they know that those around them will make them better for asking for helping. There is no shame and it shows vulnerability. It is something that is often preached but rarely practiced. When we come to the realization that in order to make it by in life especially when all seems for not, it is necessary to be loved and supported by those around you. It actually gives us more strength; strength in numbers. Those that are around us can only make our lives and ourselves better.
