As we all know when we measure the spirit of something, it’s focus is on those qualities regarded as forming the definitive or typical elements in the character of a person, nation, or group or in the thought and attitudes of a particular period. In today’s case Lady Gaga focuses on the spirit of equality and what it should mean to the spirit of our country.
According to her, both are comprised of love, compassion and kindness. You can’t have one without the other. Love I believe is the foundation and/or prerequisite for the other two to even happen. The strength of love alone can move mountains. When we show compassion for one another we are willing to help those in need who may be suffering or are in need of our support. Kindness is based on those intentional actions that help to make this world a better place. We should strive to give to those around us those random acts of kindness on a daily basis. Equality can only exist when these three entities are intertwined. Without doing so dampens the spirit of our country right to it’s core. We must never allow this to happen. It is imperative for us to recognize when we are heading down the wrong path and change the narrative before it is too late. The world is in need of heroes and if we lead our lives right we can be the hero of our own story.
