Our Moral Compass: Living A Life of Gratitude

“Gratitude is like a love letter to your life. And you’ve got to write one each day.”

-Tamara Levitt

Have you ever written a love letter to someone else? I know I have. As we know a love letter expresses our feelings for another and is a form of showing some appreciation and gratitude for who they are as a person as well as what they mean to you. It is in my opinion a lost art form since the dawn of technology with email and texting. Now I have another question for you. Have you ever written a love letter to yourself? I’m sure more than likely the answer is no. It is funny that we will do this for others but not for ourselves especially when we need it the most. The Head of Mindfulness for Calm Tamara Levitt mentions in today’s quote that gratitude is a like a love letter to your life and that we must write one each day. Just like we have our daily routines in life, this is an important one we should prioritize in our lives.

I realize that time is always a factor but what we prioritize gets done. This is something that is essential to our own well being. On the website andthenwesaved.com Anna Newell Jones listed 34 ways we can show gratitude and instantly have a better life as a result.
