“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Trust is one of the most powerful words you can use to describe the power of any relationship. Without it to me you have no solid foundation for that relationship. It can never withstand any sort of conflict if trust is not established first. It is the key ingredient to the success of a marriage, being a parent, friend or co worker. According to Poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s quote he also believes the trust with ourselves is just as important because in his words “as soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.”
We are often searching for answers as to our purpose, what the meaning to our lives in. Each of our lives presents us with a lock and the key to open us up to a limitless number of possibilities and opportunities is in fact trust. This I believe is also the map to show us our path to how we should be living. It is the answer we have been searching for if we allow ourselves to trust ourselves and trust the process as to who we truly are. It is important to remember this: if we cannot learn to trust ourselves, how can we ever hope to learn to trust others?
What does this quote mean to you and how can you apply today’s message towards developing your relationship skills?
